The SHEILIN has long been known as a landmark restaurant in the area and continues to win over many new customers with its locally sourced ingredients , fish from Europe’s cleanest waters and meats traceable back from the fork to the farmyard, which are then simply but carefully prepared with pride and passion.
The restaurant is a mecca for golfers and fishermen alike and has played host to many touring professionals over the years including Tiger woods , the late Payne stewart and stuart Appelby to name but a few.
Rob is recognised as one of the areas leading chefs and is dedicated to offering top quality locally sourced food. Rob previously worked as head chef in the landmark butler arms hotel after having travelled extensively to broaden his culinary experience. He is a member of the panel of chefs of Ireland where he was regional secretary for some years. Rob has also competed both nationally and internationally in salon culinary competitions and in latter years has served both as team manager for his region and as a judge at culinary events, He also works as an assessor for French culinary institute examinations. |
